Our Team

We bring different perspectives to the table, but we’re united by a love for purposeful work, thoughtful design, and real connection.

Georgie Sliney McCormack

Co-Founder, The Balance Project

Georgie Sliney McCormack is someone you immediately feel you can trust. Grounded, thoughtful, and genuinely curious about how people can live in ways that feel sustainable — not just successful — she came to co-found The Balance Project not from a textbook, but from life.

After years in healthcare leadership, including being named Practice Manager of the Year at the GP Buddy Awards and lecturing at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Georgie saw something consistently missing: the space between clinical excellence and real human experience. Wellbeing, she realised, can't be split neatly into categories or treated as an afterthought. Health is a whole-self experience — physical, mental, and emotional — and it only lasts when supported by both structure and softness.

That belief is the foundation of everything at The Balance Project. With Georgie, balance doesn't feel like another goal to chase — it feels like a conversation you're invited into, day by day.

Helen Flynn

Co-Founder, The Balance Project

Helen has always believed that when people feel genuinely understood and supported, everything else follows. That conviction shaped the better part of two decades working across EMEA in the software industry — and it's what brought her to co-found The Balance Project.

Originally from Canada, she came to Ireland for a year and simply never left. Something about the warmth of the people felt like home — and that same spirit of human connection is at the heart of everything she does. A graduate of the Executive Programme at UCD Michael Smurfit School of Business, Helen knows what it looks like when balance is missing from the equation — and she's dedicated to helping people find their way back to themselves.

Her approach is direct, grounded, and always human — meeting people exactly where they are, understanding their unique needs, and helping them build wellbeing practices that genuinely work for their lives. At The Balance Project, that's not just her background. It's her method.
