HOW THE DAY WORKS
Own It! is one day for parents, guardians and their daughters,
with two separate groups so every session is pitched at the right level.
✔Arrive and settle in. Check in together, then head to your group’s floor, where our hosts welcome you and set a relaxed, judgement-free tone.
✔Learn together. Our GPs explain what hormones are really doing, in language pitched to your daughter’s age, so you both leave with the same words for the same changes.
✔Time apart. Girls and parents each have private sessions with our clinicians. She can ask what she might not ask in front of you, and you can ask what you might not ask in front of her.
✔Move, fuel and rest. Movement, food and sleep sessions led by our specialists, with practical habits you can both use at home.
✔Share a meal. A relaxed lunch together, with conversation-starters on the table.
✔Close the day together. You’ll finish with something to take home that keeps the conversation going long after the day.
✔Every family goes home with the Own It! workbook, practical take-home tools and 90 days of follow-up support.
✔Which group should I book?
Book by your daughter’s age on the day:
10–13 is Own It! Junior,
14–16 is Own It! Senior. If she’s on the cusp and you’re unsure, get in touch and we’ll help you choose.
✔ Will we be together on the day?
Yes. You arrive, have lunch and finish the day together. The workshops run in two age groups on separate floors.
✔ I have two daughters in different age groups. Can we come?
Yes. Please contact us before booking, as each group runs on a different floor at the same time and each daughter needs a parent or guardian with her.
Give her the education you wish you had.
IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR YOU?
Own It! is for parents and guardians who want to understand what their daughter’s body and mind are going through, and talk about it together without the awkwardness.
Own It! Junior (ages 10–13) is for you if:
✔ her body is starting to change, or you know it will soon
✔ her first period is on the way, or has just arrived
✔ she has questions she isn’t quite ready to ask you
✔ you want the right words before “the big talk” becomes one
✔ she’s having big feelings and neither of you is sure why
✔ You're looking for practical tools rather than social media advice
Own It! Senior (ages 14–16) is for you if:
✔her periods are heavy, painful, irregular or just confusing
✔she’s dealing with exam stress, low energy or poor sleep
✔she’s seeing a lot about hormones and food online and doesn’t know what to trust
✔she plays sport and you want to make sure she’s fuelling properly
✔conversations have got shorter, and you’d like a way back in
✔you want her to hear it from doctors, not from social media
✔you’d like to understand your own hormones a little better too
✔you want an afternoon together that’s honest, warm and actually fun
Give her the education you wish you had.

The Balance Project didn’t start in a boardroom. It began with a conversation between two long-time friends who saw the same missing piece in women’s and girls’ wellbeing.
As mothers of teenage girls ourselves, we understand this stage of life firsthand; the questions, the emotions, and the need for clearer, more open support.
Own It! was created to help families navigate this journey together, with confidence, understanding and connection.
