In Her Prime
A Hormone Intelligence Retreat — 2-Night Retreat
For the woman who knows something is changing — and is ready to own every bit of it.
The Balance Project exists to return people to themselves — and nowhere is that more true than in this retreat. In Her Prime is designed for women who are ready to shift the focus from clinical management to radical restoration. This is not about symptoms. It is about reclaiming your body in a restorative, high-support environment built around the belief that this chapter deserves to be entered with knowledge, confidence, and joy.
-
Hosted at The Deerstone's eco-luxury setting, guests stay in consciously designed cottages, cosy shepherd's huts, or deluxe guestrooms — with locally sourced materials, sustainable details, and access to wellness features including sauna, hot tub, cold plunge, and outdoor pool facilities.
Over two nights, guests move through the interconnected jigsaw of hormones, nutrition, movement, and recovery — guided by best-in-class experts delivering clinically research-backed knowledge from a holistic view of the whole woman.
Cooling linens, nutrient-dense hormone-supportive dining, and a community of women who get it completely.
In Her Prime breaks the lingering social taboo around hormonal transition — not with clinical detachment, but with warmth, humour, and radical honesty. Guests come to learn. They stay to laugh. They leave restored.
Always with balance. Always with you.
This retreat has been designed as a women's hormone intelligence, wellness, recovery, and connection gathering — a space to reconnect, restore, and return to yourself.

Your Questions, Answered
-
Our retreats are for people who are already leading, caring for others, or building something meaningful—whether that’s in their family life, business, motherhood, or life design. You’ll feel most at home here if you value expertise, privacy, and a luxurywellness environment that still feels grounded in evidence and humanity. Participation is by invitation or application to keep the group safe, intimate, and aligned.
-
Most retreats run over 2–4 days, beginning late afternoon on day one and ending midafternoon on the final day, to respect your time and travel. A typical day includes expertled sessions, smallgroup conversations, guided movement, and intentional pauses for reflection or rest. We deliberately balance structure with space, so you’re stretched—not drained—and supported, not overscheduled.
-
Groups are intentionally small, usually no more than 25-35 participants, to ensure everyone feels seen and heard. While the programme is primarily groupbased, facilitators are available for brief checkins, and we sometimes offer optional onetoone sessions as an addon. You are never “lost in the crowd,” and your individual journey is always held in mind.
-
We hold retreats in carefully selected private or boutique venues—often in quiet countryside, coastal, or parkland settings—where luxury meets sanctuary. Think elegant, luxurious rooms, nourishing food, and surroundings that invite you to slow down, reconnect with nature, and feel safe to show up as yourself.
-
Most participants are offered single ensuite rooms to support rest and privacy, with options for shared rooms or double occupancy where available. We aim to create a boutiquehotel standard: luxurious, calm, and thoughtfully designed so you can relax deeply between sessions.
-
We recommend arranging your own travel and will share detailed directions and local transport options. We encourage you to arrive a little early before the official start, so you settle in without rush.
-
Yes. We design menus to be both luxurious and nourishing, with options for vegetarian, vegan, glutenfree, and other common dietary needs, and we welcome advance notice of allergies or medical conditions. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or navigating perimenopause or hormonal shifts, we make every effort to tailor food, activity, and pacing to your stage of life.
-
Your fee typically includes:
All expertled sessions and facilitation
All meals and nonalcoholic beverages during the retreat
Your accommodation for the stated duration
Handouts and digital resources
A small, curated gift to support your journey after the retreat
Any addons (e.g., massage, private coaching, or excursions) will be clearly outlined as optional extras.
-
You may wish to budget for:
Personal treatments (massage, facial, or bodywork, where available)
Optional excursions or local experiences
Travel to and from the venue
We will flag these in your preretreat welcome pack so there are no surprises.
-
Exact fees and dates are set per retreat / workshop and are shared upon invitation or application. Most retreats require a nonrefundable deposit to secure your place, with the remaining balance due several weeks before the start. We can sometimes arrange payment plans on request, subject to approval and timing.
-
Many retreats are intentionally designed with women’s lifestage health in mind, including pregnancy, perimenopause, and postnatal recovery. We adapt pacing, movement, and conversation to each cohort, and we ask you to share any medical or hormonal considerations in confidence so we can support you properly. If you have an acute condition or are under active medical care, we may ask you to consult your clinician first.
-
Transparency helps us support you well. Please let us know in advance about any mental health diagnosis, chronic condition, mobility limitation, or significant fatigue so we can adjust the environment, pacing, or expectations where possible. We are not a crisis service, but we are committed to creating psychologically and physically safe spaces for growth.
-
Yes. You’ll receive practical frameworks, reflective prompts, and evidenceinformed tools that you can apply in your work, relationships, and daily routines. Many women tell us they use these long after the retreat concludes—to manage decisionmaking, boundaries, energy, and hormonal shifts more skillfully.
-
Depending on the retreat, you may be invited into a private community or closed group for ongoing connection, occasional checkins, and curated resources. Some programmes also offer optional postretreat coaching packages if you’d like deeper, individualised support.
-
Respect for your privacy is central to our ethos. We ask all participants to commit to confidentiality for group discussions, and sensitive information shared in confidence is never disclosed. Your personal data is handled in line with GDPR and bestpractice governance, and we minimise unnecessary recording or photography.
-
We encourage you to disconnect enough to be fully present, but we do not enforce a strict digitalfree rule. You are welcome to set your own boundaries—some participants turn off work notifications, while others check in briefly. What matters is that you show up for yourself, not for your inbox.
-
To protect the privacy of all participants, we ask that you do not record or film sessions, and that you avoid sharing identifiable details or images from group work on public platforms. Lead facilitators may share highlevel insights or reflections in their own communications, but your specific story remains yours.
-
Spaces are limited and often fill several weeks or months ahead. We invite you to register your interest early, and then we confirm details and dates once the cohort is stabilising. If you are waiting for budget approval or travel arrangements, please let us know so we can advise on timing.
-
A nonrefundable deposit secures your place. The balance is due by a set date, usually several weeks before the retreat. Cancellations made within a set window may be eligible for a partial refund or transfer to another date, depending on availability and circumstances. We cannot guarantee refunds for cancellations close to the start, but we will always try to be fair and compassionate in exceptional situations.
-
Our retreats are usually designed for individual participants, so that everyone can focus on their own journey without the pressure of “shared” time. In some executive or couplesoriented programmes, partners or colleagues may be invited in specific ways, but this is stated clearly in advance. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to talk through the best fit.
